Brian G. Brannon, Founder
Founder and principal attorney Brian Brannon is an experienced patent attorney with over 15 years of experience between law firms and in-house counsel, as well as a former engineer with an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. Prior to forming Brannon IP, Brian spent 15 years in a large Silicon Valley firm preparing and prosecuting patents in a range of technology areas. Brian was also in-house counsel for a mobile device manufacturer, and has worked in patent-focused boutique law firms.
Brian has prepared and prosecuted thousands of patent applications in a variety of technology areas. Example technology areas in with Brian has prepared or prosecuted patent applications include: social networking, virtual reality/mixed reality, machine learning/artificial intelligence, telecommunications, mobile device design, optical communication, web analytics, connected home systems, user interface design, semiconductor fabrication, autonomous vehicles, robotics, vehicle systems, software, and business methods.
In addition to preparing and prosecuting patent applications, Brian has implemented programs for clients to more easily identify potentially patentable ideas and to select ideas for which patent protection is pursued. Brian also has experience performing patentability searches.
Having represented clients ranging from early stage startups to large publicly traded companies, Brian has experience tailoring patent protection strategies tailored to different business goals.
